About Us
About Us

The Sheffield Rod & Gun Club formed under the Articles of Incorporation approved on July 23, 1940, and has operated continually since its inception. The Club was created for the purpose, per the by-laws, to:

1.) Incorporate a group of citizens interested in the promotion of good sportsmanship of hunting, fishing, trapping, and safe, competitive shooting activities.

2.) Improve wildlife and fisheries habitats.

3.) Cooperate with law enforcement and conservation agencies to further protect our natural resources.

4.) Help train our youth to be better sportsmen.

Beginning at a location within the borough of Sheffield and, following a devastating fire, the Club secured a tract of land at 1964 Austin Hill Road, where it constructed its current clubhouse, shooting, and recreational facilities, which include a rifle range, handgun range, 3-D archery walk, and trap range. Many other recreational amenities are open to all members, as are annual chicken barbeques, turkey and gun parties, annual picnic, and other social events.

The Board meets the fourth Tuesday of Every month at 7:00pm. All Members are welcome to attend.
